Department of Health and Human Services Campaign

In July 2010 the Department of Health and Human Services and the Diabetes Prevention and Control Program teamed up with Husker Sports Marketing to start the Defend Against Diabetes campaign.  Through University of Nebraska athletics, the campaign was made available to the entire state via radio and the web in order to inform and persuade the prevention and control of Type 2 diabetes.

Our campaigns class was split up into three agencies and challenged to not only make improvements to the current campaign but also to better reach the target audience of 45 to 64 year olds in Nebraska who are at risk of Type 2 diabetes.

I worked as the account executive for the Spectrum agency.

The Mosaic Project

A grant was provided to the University of Nebraska in Lincoln to create a form of communication that the refugee communities in Nebraska are able to use for assistance. A class of news editorial and advertising students came together to find a solution.

I was part of the Karen community group.
